Spanish Children's Workshop: The Story Of St. Patrick {San Patricio}

I couldn't be more excited to post about our first ever Spanish children's workshop!

We had little one's Hispanic friends come over, and we talked about St. Patrick. We kicked off the workshop with YouTube videos of St. Patrick in Spanish: San Patricio de Irlanda Parte 1, San Patricio de de Irlanda Parte 2, and San Patricio de Irlanda Parte 3.

After a short session of questions about St. Patrick I introduced the kid's to St. Patrick's Spanish vocabulary, and a pattern recognition sheet that I found on MommyMaestra's blog. This was perfect for the kindergartners and preschoolers to learn new words, and identify the difference.

They also enjoyed making a St. Patrick's day card from Flapjack Educational Resources! They colored the cards to give to their mami, and tío.  :)

El trébol feliz was a hit with the kids. The kids enjoyed the shamrock art and craft from Fun for Spanish Teachers.  We reviewed body parts such as, ojos, boca, nariz, manos, pies, brazos y piernas.

To end the workshop they snacked on donuts, and cookies!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  ¡Feliz Día de San Patricio!

How did you celebrate?
